"Fits SON.NP-BG1" is not authentic Sony brand. The photo is misleading and different from the product I received in the mail. The battery is SON.NP-BG1 instead of SONY. It is not "by Sony" like it stated in the description. The vendor is not honest about both the description of the product and the photogragh. "The seller has clearly misrepresented the condition or details of an item in a way that affects its value or utility, it is "materially different." I requested a full refund. I am glad that I bought this on Amazon or I would not be able to get my money back.

I have the Coolpix P300 and was skeptical about buying 3rd party batteries (I've been burned before for other devices), but I tried it anyways. These batteries are awesome - I think they even last a little longer than the Nikon OEM one that came with the camera. Very long lasting charge. I recommend. Fast ship too.

I got this kit just a few days ago and have used each of the batteries once and the wall charger for all batteries, including the one that came with my GoPro Hero2. Here are my observations:

The wall charger: Works pretty much as intended, but mine has an odd tendency for the green LED to remain on while charging. The amount of output seems to vary, so the resulting light between the red and green can vary from yellowish to orangeish colors. If I wiggle the battery around in the charger the color also flickers. It's a minor issue, since a fully charged battery does glow solid green, and I'm not going to worry about it much. I am knocking a half star off my rating though.

Battery life: the batteries do last longer than the original, as they are rated at 1400mAh compared to the 1100mAh of the GoPro battery. However, both original and Wasabi batteries drain much faster that what GoPro advertises. I have seen similar issues reported all over the 'net. I am getting about 80 minutes out of the original and 100 out of the Wasabi. So... with three batteries (2 Wasabi + 1 GoPro) I can get about 4 1/2 hours of recording time, which matches the recording time of the 32GB card I'm using. It's silly to have to stop and switch batteries three times during a long mountain biking event, especially if I'm in a race, but at least I can get footage without having to worry about stopping and starting the camera during key moments.

Battery fit: A lot of other reviews praise the Wasabi batteries for being easier to install and remove from inside the GoPro. That's not a good thing, it's a bad thing. One problem with GoPro Hero is that the audio recording is adversely affected by numerous sources of rattling, both external (mounting clips) and internal (loose power/mode and shutter buttons). I got both of these sources of rattling somewhat silenced, but now there's another one... the batteries! The tight fit of the GoPro original battery means it won't move around inside the unit. The Wasbai ones move around. Shake the unit with one installed and you can hear it. It doesn't sound very loud, but the mic picks it up and amplifies it inside the waterproof case. I solved this by wrapping some electrical tape around the Wasabi batteries to ensure they fit (almost) as snug as the original. Fixable, yes, but this is a another half star knock on the Wasabi kit.

Car charger: I haven't used this yet. Assuming it works properly, this will be great when I do mountain bike events longer than 4 hours where I am looping back to my car or multiday events if I am car camping.

Overall: for the price, this is a very good kit that solves some of the problems with the original GoPro Hero product. However it does introduce a few new, though minor, irritations.

I got this kit because I lost the charger that came with my camera. The original Sony charger is $60, so I figured I was ahead with just the charger here. I've had it now for about a month or so. Here's my review. The charger is good. It's a charger so it's main job is just to get the juice back in the battery. It does that just like it's supposed to. Takes about the same as the original. It does have the option to use a car charger to charge it which is nice.

The build quality is a bit on the cheap side. It's not the nice flexible plastics that you general see from OEMs, but it's not so cheap that I worry about it breaking. Overall, it's good for the price.

The batteries however, that's a different story. Not that I'm complaining much, but they are not quite as good as you think they will be. The claim to be 1300mAh batteries. The original battery that comes with my SLT-a33 is a 1050 mAh battery rated for about 390 shots. I've had decent luck with it and could easily see 400 shots or more. So you might expect that these batteries are going to last longer. You'd be wrong. The difference is that the Sony battery holds the charge when you are not using it. So you can take 20 shots. Wait a day and it's still the way you left it. These don't work that way. They drain at a pretty constant rate in the camera or out. So I charged them up to 100%. Then set them aside for a couple days and came back to completely dead batteries. As I'm using them, I can actually see the charge draining. I figure I can get about 150-200 shots per battery if they are both fully charged when I start. But keep in mind, with only one charger you can only charge one battery to 100%. the other will start dying as soon as you take it off the charger. All in all, I figure I have about 800 shots on 3 batteries if I start with full batteries. If I wait a few days between charges, I have one decent battery (the sony) and 2 half dead batteries that might get me 200 shots between them.

The charger is great, the batteries are not so great. But for $40, I'm still ahead of buying the Sony charger, and I have a couple "reserve tank" batteries if my main one dies at the wrong time. Overall, I gave the kit 3 stars because the batteries are dragging the set down. Honestly the charger is worth the $40 and think of the batteries as icing, or toss them if you don't want them.

I use the GoPro to shoot shorebreak empty waves. I'm always shooting on the 10 photo per second mode.

I used to get over 4,500 shots on 1 charge from my Hero2 battery, so needless to say when I "upgraded" to the Hero3, I was very disappointed at the battery performance. When my battery dies, I have to swim in, dry off the housing, and reload. That sucks.

The stock Hero3 battery gets me about 1,800 to 1,900 shots before dying. That limits me to 1 1/2 hours worth of shooting.

On the SMATREE battery, I've squeezed over 2,500 shots on a charge. Although, I have had some days where the battery has gone dead after 1,900 shots. I'm thinking that maybe I had charged the battery & left it in the camera (with the camera off of course) for a couple of days. Maybe the battery power slowly declines? I'm not sure. Wifi is off, but you never know.

But the net result is that a bad day on the SMATREE battery exceeds a good day on the stock battery. And having a pair of them with a wall & car charger is great. I hate the USB charge with the stock battery system.

Good job SMATTREE, I'd rather support your batteries than overpay for an extra GoPro battery :)

These things are garbage. I recently bought the SX260HS along with some accessories and these spare batteries for a trip to Italy. I know the battery life on the 260 is not that spectacular so I thought having a couple of spares along would be a good deal, and at 1/3rd the price of a single official Canon battery for two of these, it seemed like a good idea.

Not really a surprise (I'll tell you why in a moment) my Canon batt with the camera worked very well within the specified amount of pictures with modest LCD brightness and frequent use of many features. So a few hours later I switch to my back up battery (these ones) and find that one already registers as low and the other says it is full, goes for about an hour and suddenly is totally dead to the point you get the usual message on the LCD to replace the battery pack.

The reason I am not surprised is my last Canon I went through the same motions. Purchased a third party spare, thing never held a charge and died very quickly. So here I am again a few years later with the same problem.

Don't be cheap. Buy the Canon battery if you actually want to be able to take pictures all day without worrying. The camera comes with one, get an extra and you should easily make it through a 16 hour day. If you take a billion pictures a day, then get two. The 30 bucks a piece will be well worth capturing all the memories you want with no stress instead of these cruddy batteries you wont be able to rely on at all.

I should also add that I did ensure I charged them correctly and gave it another go the next day to no avail.
