I purchased this battery as a backup battery for my Sony NEX-5N camera. It came in legitimate packaging and is labeled a Sony NP-FW50 battery. However, once I put it in my camera the screen displayed an error message saying that the battery was not compatible with my camera. After further inspection and comparison of this battery with my original battery I now see many differences on the color and sticker design on the front and back of the battery. They say that they are the same model but clearly this item is a knock off and does not work with my camera. I guess I should have known by the very discounted price but then again I expected it to be as advertised. Very disappointed. I didn't want to give this product any stars since it's totally useless to me but I had to enter 1 star to post.

Sony BCTRV Travel Charger -Black Review

It does the job and is a low profile device. I never like charging anything "in camera" because I don't like to leave my camera out and about, tethered to a cord plugged into my wall. Sony is again the company to look for with great products. I have experience with the Sony DSLR camers and the previous battery, (FM55), which was a great battery to use. I was loving the length of time I got from the battery but this one goes even stronger. This newer battery blows the lid off the amount of pictures. Once I could get around 900 shots now I can get about 1500 shots depending on flash usage and setup. If you need a battery with the stamina to keep pace with your picture taking this is it. It's even backwards compatible with the older Alpha 100 but the 100 battery will not work in the Alpha 700.

Canon TC80N3 Timer Remote Control for EOS D30, D60, D10, 1D, 1V & 20D SLR Cameras Review

This thing is very cool. You can do a bunch of different timer functions, and some combinations of them. You can set shutter length, interval between shots, time to first shot, and number of shots to take, plus you can just treat the thing as a remote release cable. The display light is just fine for shooting at night, and there are not a lot of buttons, so you can learn to run the remote in the dark pretty fast. My only gripe is the cable is not very long - 21 inches or something like that. Canon wants almost 1/2 the price of the TC80N3 for the extension cable. Most won't need anything longer, but it would be nice if it was. Ok, like many of you out there, I have put forth a prolific search to find extra batteries for my Canon Products. I love "real" Canon stuff, however I do not like the fact that Canon (and every other camera/printer manufacturer) will rape you when selling you support parts for your cameras and printers i.e. batteries and ink.

You have finally found an OEM compatible manufacturer...

I use Wasabi batteries in both my Canon camcorder as well as my EOS products. The Wasabi batteries perform well if not better than a true Canon battery. This specific Wasabi will charge to a full 400 min charge and really last that long. They also hold a charge well just sitting around in your camera bag. You do get two of these batteries and a charger that will charge these batteries as well as the original Canon batteries. The Wasabi batteries do register and display proper charge data with Canon camcorders as well as with other Canon cameras; and you get all of this performance for less than half the cost of one actual Canon battery.

I hope this review helps you make a decision, and puts you at ease in your purchase.

(This review is not a plant by Wasabi, nor is it a slander of Canon) I love my Canon stuff, I just wish the company would not capitalize on the extra items that you need for their products. Batteries should not cost $125.00, and printer ink should not cost 40% of the total cost of the printer that it is being used in. Canon, you really should rethink the pricing of your cameras and printers if this is what it takes to turn a profit. Wasabi, thank you for filling the supply; for the demand, and doing it right!

UPDATE -how good are these in actual use?

Just as good as the $8 cell!

I had to change out an alarm system that used 8 CR123 cells and was calling home to complain about its batteries being low. So I've used 1/4 box so far. Factory new they measure 3.23V and I've also run a set in a surefire E2D with equal runtime to the factory cellls. Have no fear - cheap CR123's are here!

The cr-123 cell is an amazing primary (disposable) battery. It's high energy capacy, 3.0 v output, and compact size combined with 10 year shelf life have led to its design into alarms, flashlights, weapons systems, night vision, basically anything that needs dependable power for a long time or at a high rate.

The box comes with 4 strips of 10 cells shrink-wrapped for protection. They measure 3.23V open circuit out of the box indicating they are fresh manufacture (the ademco alarm components signal a low-battery indication at 2.8V so there is a narrow band of usefulness) I tested 2 of these in my surefire e2d on high and low without any problems.

Tenergy makes 2 versions of the CR-123 - the 1300 mAh and the 1400 mAh, this is the 1400 mAh spec on their website.

When the CR-123 cell first came out it was a photographic cell and sold at drugstores for as much as $8 ea. Even the best pricing on Duracells CR-123 is 1.89 in large quantity. To get 40 batteries for under 40 dollars is a great feat. All of my ademco wireless sensors use the CR-123 and need to be changed about every 6 years, which is now so this was a great find at the right time.

While some people will swear by a brand (e.g. I always use surefire/duracell/xyz brand), I'm finding that the CR123 is much like gasoline - yes there are subtle differences between arco and shell but both will run you car down the road. Do I want to spend another $36 dollars to get a different wrapper to replace all of my alarm sensors and load up my flashlight. Not now. If for some reason these go dead ahead of time I will update my review, but just getting them I can find no reason not to give them 5 stars as compared to other 5 star 1400 mAh cells on the market. Stay tuned - it may take a while to find out how long they really last due to their long shelf life of 10 years.

Clearmax 2 Pack of High Capacity Batteries For Nikon D3100,D3200, and D5100 Review

The stock Nikon EN-EL14 battery is estimated to be able to take about 660 photos for a fully charged battery. So far, the 2 Clearmax batteries I received can go up to about 550 pictures (All without flash).

Packaging was neat. Both came with a plastic cover to protect the batteries.

The battery's build is fairly good. It can definitely withstand some wear. The cover is plastic and part of the battery. In the past, I've found some generic branded batteries that had the batteries information taped onto the battery. Not here. If it didn't say Clearmax & EN-EL14, you wouldn't be able to tell this part from the stock Nikon batteries. The ridges and recharging head are designed correctly and I have no problems charging these batteries.

Aside from a slightly lower performance compared to the stock Nikon battery, these batteries have served me well as spares.

With the price and bundle, this is priced very reasonably. Highly recommended. Buy with confidence
