Figured we would give it a go, especially as it is so much cheaper than the Sony branded bulb. It went into the project just fine and works perfectly. We haven't had it very long so I can't say anything about the bulbs life span compared to the Sony one but it would have to be significantly less to make me consider going back to the Sony bulb. I bought a package (see projector review HD1000U Mitsubishi) that included a 92" screen from Elite. I upgraded to their grayscale screen. The quality of my projeted image on this screen is amazine. The screen is easy to assemble and easy to hang.

There is no way that a Draper or Stewart screen is worth $700-$1000 more than this. I do not see how anyone could put out a screen with an image worth $1000 more.

I languished about the level of projector and screen after being sold "the line" from big box stores. I could not have made a better decision on either.

Second lamp replacement for my old, great, LCD tv. First replacement was Sony OEM and worked for about 5 or 6 years. Bought this after checking out Diamond Lamp thinking I was getting an OEM product. Installed in tv. The tv would run for a few minutes, shut off, red error blink many times, turn back on, run a few minutes, shut off, turn back on etc. Called Projector Parts, and they were 5 stars. I returned this lamp, they sent me a Sony OEM, put lamp in tv and works fine. Five stars to Projector Parts, but less than 1 star for this lamp for my tv. I would buy anything from Projector Parts should I need something they sell.
